Licensing
Depending on the project, Eco Learning Labs will provide you with a different type of contracts and licenses. These include:
End User License Agreement: An End User License Agreement (EULA) is a special type of licensing agreement typical of computer software. Under a EULA, the buyer doesn't own the software, rather, they are a licensee being granted the rights to use it as directed in the agreement. Some EULAs can only be used on a single computer, others allow unlimited usage across a network.
Website Design Agreement: Under a Website Design Agreement, a web designer agrees to provide design and programming services to a business or individual. This is basically a specialized contractor agreement. Request to Link to Website: In some cases you can communicate personally with the owner of another website and come to an informal agreement about linking to their site. Sometimes, though, you'll need to formally request the third party to link to their website, or have them link to yours.
Video Clearance or Release: You'll need to use a Video Clearance or Release form to obtain permission to use clips from any video or audio footage that includes one or more individuals. As the released party, you'll be released from liability for the use of the footage. The person(s) being recorded, called the recorded party, grants you permission to use their picture and/or voice. This agreement usually doesn't require a cash payment.
Contract: Everything we do for your project will be guided by a contract that we will prepare together before starting major work on the project. This contract will detail all deliverables, deadlines, timeframes and key waypoints that we have built-in to make sure that development projects occur within a timely manner for all parties involved. These contracts will be important for the development of any visual media or interpretive learning design, art, and physical products.
Data Collection/Release: Sometimes our programs or activities have built-in or accompanying monitoring, evaluation or impact assessment systems. We also provide these services directly, which involve data collection among your students, visitors or audiences. This data agreement insures data is collected using all FPIC standards around information gathering, and insures that your will retain rights to any and all data required.
